Ibrahim Al Khaldi Manager of the Middle East/ Africa Regional Office of UFI ,the Global Association of the Exhibition industry, in Abu Dhabi since May 2006 when the Office was opened.
The global strategies and goals of UFI: promoting the industry, informing and knowledge, and networking as well as serving members are being carried out on the regional level, forming the basis of the Middle East/ Africa Office tasks. Ibrahim Al Khaldi launched the UFI Open Seminar in the Middle East in 2007 and it is held now annually on a regular basis. He had also run several surveys and industry studies in the Middle East and Africa. He has managed several activities relating to industry education and promotion and visited many countries in the Region and had good relations with major industry players.
Before joining UFI, he was involved directly in exhibition and trade fair business, working from 1993 as PR Manager in the Public Establishment for International Fairs and Exhibitions (PEIFE) in Damascus, Syria. In more than 12 years in PEIFE, he accumulated practical experience and knowledge in all operation and marketing aspects of exhibition industry: organizing Damascus International Fair, venue management and operating, participation in foreign events etc.
Ibrahim Al Khaldi holds B.A. in English literature, Faculty of arts and Humanities, Damascus University 1993, and the UFI Exhibition Management Degree (EMD) 2008.
